Arrived in Auckland, New Zealand at the camper rental shop to realize that we had crossed over the international date line and we we’re suppose to pick up the van the day prior, oops, first loss of our trip so far. Kirby, that’s what we named her, is spacious, enough…. And will be our “home” for the next month or so.
First stop, coffee. I did my research and knew that New Zealand is known for the sensational coffee.
We began to cruise down the north island to try and make it to Wellington that evening… We didn’t make it. 1 hour boat ride, 6 hour plane ride and now a 9 hour drive in a camper-van… did I mention they drive on the opposite side of the road? Poor Loren had to listen to me for about two hours screaming. I swear that he was going to take out the whole left side of the parked cars, or hit the cones.

Him and Kirby are now the best of friends and I am a calm passenger.

The next morning we made it to Wellington just to be an our hour late of the “application” process time for the Indian consulate. applying for visas while not in your home country IS NOT SIMPLE. I’ll save you that long story, another loss=us.
That night we did up Wellington. Found all the hip bars and restaurant and tried all the local foods. This place has awesome food and the most friendliest of people.
So far loving it, it’s preparing us for what Seattle will be like. Since we got here lots have rain drops have showered us.
